Large Distribution Center Increases Efficiency With Slice Box Cutters
Jeremy Coyle is a true cardboard warrior. Every week at his Menasha distribution center in Neenah, WI, this continuous improvement coordinator cuts down hundreds of boxes: 500 to 800 by his estimate. The image below shows his cutting load for just 45 minutes.
The Slice safety knife allowed me to cut the tops off at a rate of about 2:1 against other retractable safety knives.
Jeremy was looking for a tool to increase his efficiency and safety, and he found it in the Slice® 10503 Auto-Retractable Box Cutter. In his words, "The Slice safety knife allowed me to cut the tops off at a rate of about 2:1 against other retractable safety knives, with no worry about damaging the product because of the depth and angle of the blade."
He also praises the Slice box cutter's longevity as a good investment. He estimates, "I have made 30,000 to 40,000 cuts with [the Slice box cutter] before having to change the blade."
Coyle notes, "I also like the curved handle that protects your hand during cutting." Safety is part of Slice's design process from the beginning.
